Hotels in the Area

Centennial Arena Ice Skating Rink was founded in 1967 with a second arena (West) added in 1980. The West arena of Centennial Arena is an indoor rink and opens seasonally from November 1st to February 28th. The East side arena is being used for recreation vehicle storage seasonally from October to April. The west ice surface of the Centennial Arena is being kept operational thanks to the support of the citizens and businesses of Portage la Prairie and Rural Municipality. This project was started 3 years ago in order to provide the Youth and Adults who participate in recreational skating, hockey, ringette and figure skating access to more ice time in Portage la Prairie for practices and games. It provides a facility for other non-ice activities such as roller skating and indoor softball practices when required. This ice surface also provides a recreational facility in the northend of the City of Portage la Prairie.

All Nations Tribal Days Curling Tournamenet will be located at the Portage Curling Club. The Portage Curling Club is part of and located adjacent in the West rear of the Canadinns Destination Centre.
