Together with Chief Dennis Meeches, and Chief Lance Roulette, it is my privilege to welcome everyone to Portage la Prairie for All Nations Tribal Days. As Portage la Prairie's Mayor, I am excited to see so many coming together in our beautiful City to celebrate unity through sports, recreation, culture, and family.

Organizing an event of this magnitude is no small feat, and those who have worked diligently to pull it all together have my utmost admiration. Hats off to Long Plain First Nation, and Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation for having the vision and for following through in hosting this significant event.

More importantly, I want to thank you, as First Nations people, for raising the bar for all of us by your example of community spirit, co-operation, and unity-and for your commitment to an alcohol and drug-free, safe, family environment.

I wish you a successful weekend. May you return to your homes with warm memories, renewed energy, and deeper friendships.
